This was true for the original audience of Hebrews; it remains true for us today. In thought and deed, the Word of God is the Word we live by as believers.

George H. Guthrie is professor of New Testament at Regent. He has published commentaries on Hebrews, James, and 2 Corinthians and has worked as a consultant on the ESV, CSB, NLT, and HCSB translations.
