Q. How do I create an account?

To register and create an account you first need to enroll in a course by adding the course to your shopping cart, and as you proceed to check-out, you will be prompted to create your Zondervan Academic Online Course account. This account is only associated with Zondervan Academic Online Courses and is separate from any other Zondervan account that is associated with textbooks, eBooks, or videos.

Q. What's the learning experience like?

We've built our classes with the needs of students in mind:

  • You'll be able to access a dashboard to track the status of all your courses.
  • Each course is divided into units, which are determined by the course content.
  • Each unit is divided into sections that give an overview, provide tips for study, help you review the material, and assess your knowledge.
Q. How much work does each course require?

Getting the most out of your course will require a significant investment of time and serious discipline. These are high-quality college- and seminary-level courses taught by leading scholars. Although they are presented in an accessible format, the courses do require discipline and commitment.

Q. How much does it cost to take a course?

Most courses are priced between $100 and $200.

Q. Have a question about MasterLectures?
  • Zondervan Academic Online Courses are hosted on the BibleMesh platform at Courses.ZondervanAcademic.com. They offer a full, seminary-level online course experience, which includes video lectures, readings, review materials, and assessments. Most courses also come with the option for receiving transfer credit from partner schools.
  • MasterLectures is a subscription-based video streaming platform that offers access to just the videos, similar to Netflix. MasterLectures is hosted by Zondervan Academic, which is a division of HarperCollins Christian Publishing, at MasterLectures.ZondervanAcademic.com. MasterLectures includes video content only—no digital textbook access, readings, review materials, and assessments. Unlike online courses, MasterLectures does not offer group access or functionality for church or classroom use. Typically, videos appear on MasterLectures a few months after the corresponding online course is released.

If you have questions about MasterLectures, we are happy to help you with the following:

  • How to update or cancel your subscription
  • Change your billing information
  • Downloading and installing mobile or TV apps
  • Viewing videos at your church or in your class
  • International access

To inquire about MasterLectures, please contact us using the HarperCollins Christian Publishing customer care page (click here), and someone will get back to you right away.

Q. When I am viewing the Study section of my course, no content is pulling into the iframe. How can I resolve this problem?

If your study section view is not pulling up the content in the iframe it may be because you are using Internet Explorer or Safari for your browser – this may be the issue. We recommend you using Chrome or Firefox.

If you are still having issues, click on “My eBooks” (located on your top menu of your dashboard) and then click into the eBook for the course and then go back to the course and the window frame embed should pull in the content.

If you want to read the entire eBook, you can click on the Book title in the lower right hand side of the embedded iframe.

Q. Can I download videos from my online course?

Videos on BibleMesh are designed and built exclusively for our members. They cannot be downloaded, but remember that being a member gives you access 24 hours per day 7 days per week to study at your convenience and return any time to refresh or enjoy.

Q. Can I use BibleMesh on my mobile device (iPhone, etc.)?

Yes, you can use BibleMesh on phones and tablets including the iPhone and iPad. BibleMesh videos have HTML5 video support for Apple devices.

Q. I am having trouble registering.

Each aspect of the registration page must be filled out correctly in order to successfully register. If there is a problem with a portion, you will be taken back to the beginning, and the problems will be highlighted in red. Potential problems can occur if you choose a username that is already taken or if a field is left blank.

Q. My credit card is not accepted.

The error may have occurred because you entered a debit card. Our system only accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. If you did use a debit card, please try using a credit card.

An error may have also occurred if your card's bank flagged your transaction. Our bank is located in Bermuda, and some banks will automatically flag an overseas credit card transaction. You can either contact your bank and let them know that your BibleMesh purchase is legitimate, or you can try to use another credit card.

Q. Can I share an account with a family member or a friend?

The BibleMesh learning platform is designed to keep record of all quizzes and tests grades for each individual student. For this reason, every user should purchase and create their own account.

Q. I am having trouble watching videos on BibleMesh.

All BibleMesh videos are optimized for web viewing and have HTML5 video support for Apple devices. Please make sure you have the latest version of your browser installed, as well as Adobe Flash which can be downloaded at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.

  • Stalling or buffering videos are, unfortunately, among the hardest problems to diagnose. A good rule of thumb is:
    • If both the video and audio stall while you are viewing, you are most likely experiencing issues with your internet connection. If the video stalls but the audio is fine, you are most likely experiencing issues related to your computer's hardware and/or software configuration.
  • Are you watching videos over a wireless connection – try watching over a wired connection.
  • Are you running other bandwidth heavy programs while watching videos on BibleMesh – try closing other programs to improve your CPU speed.
  • Perform Speed Test - The videos on BibleMesh require approximately 1.5 mb/s download speed in order to stream properly. To check your connection, please go to www.speedtest.net and click “Begin Test.” This will tell you whether or not your computer’s Internet connection is fast enough to handle the videos.
  • Perform a Traceroute - If you receive an output with 13 or more hops, the problem is most likely related to how your ISP is routing your computer's requests to BibleMesh. Unfortunately, BibleMesh is unable to fix this problem — you can try contacting your ISP's support desk to request help. If you receive an output with 1-12 hops, the issue is probably not related to your ISP.
Q. I have re-enrolled in a course and my grades are no longer showing under “My Grades” in my account.

Please be assured that your grades are still within our system. Simply email us from our contact us page and let us know what course(s) you have re-enrolled in, and we will reinstate your grades within your account.

Q. Do you provide college or seminary credit for any of your courses?

Because we are not an academic institution or school, we cannot provide academic credit for any of our courses. But, some of our academic partners do provide credit if you enroll with them as a student. Please contact us for more information. You can also visit our partner The BibleMesh Institute for degree pathway options.

Q. Will you be providing any of your courses in other languages in the future?

Yes, we have plans to provide our biblical theology courses in different languages including – Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish, French, Greek, and Arabic.

Q. Are there group or church discounts?

For specific courses and learning tracks, churches may be able purchase licenses at a discounted rate. Please contact us for more information.
